Hi everyone,
I would like to bring 'Camm Followers' to everyone's
attention. Formed last year at Mr. Tony Ditheridge's, 'Hawker Restoration' facility in deepest Suffolk. We are to date the refugee committee of the Hawker Hurricane Society. Where as the HHS was set up to perpetuate that wonderful aeroplane. 'Camm Followers' has been set up in perpetuation of the late Sir Sydney Camm and his wonderful stable of aircraft.
"From Hart to Harrier a stable of excellence", unlike the HHS there is no open membership, if you wish to become a Camm Follower
all that is required of an individual is his knowledge. You see we hope to become a repository of knowledge for all of Sir Sydney's
stable of aircraft. To date I have given two talks, and hope to do more in the future. To attend various air show venues when time and expenditure permits. To assist anyone who requires help with a restoration project, colour scheme, book/article, or a simple question. Most if not all of us have unlimited knowledge on the Hurricane. So we seek experts on Camm's other designs, we will keep in touch by email - snail mail and the good old fashioned telephone. We will meet throughout the year at a suitably chosen location. We are young (well the group is) and we intend to be around for sometime. To perpetuate the genius of a man called, Sir Sydney Camm, who from the 1930's to almost present day has had an example of his design in front line defence of this wonderful nation.
Thank you for your time and patience.
