Just joined and would like to introduce self. ex raf, (obviously) joined in 46, left in 56. started as fme, trade training st.athan then straight out to middle east, to join 324R&I Wing servicing 6 and 213 squadrons, (Tempests) Started at Shallufa, then to Khartoum, then to deversoir, where 249 Squadron joined us, C.O. was a south african Squadron Ldr. Scott-Voss was attatched to 249 before returning to U.K. in 49, then transferred to marine branh as marine fitter, ( upgrade to group 1) then trained as aircrew, Air Signaller, at Swanton Morley, then after air gunners course at Lecofield and Shackelton familiarisation at Kinloss. joine d42 Squadron at St.Eval. demobbed at Thorney Island sept. 56. now retired and living in Weston-super-mare.
