Have just attended funeral of 90 year-old BoB pilot Gerald 'Stapme' Stapleton in Ketton, Rutland. Good turnout - about 120 people.
He was ex 603 Sqn so I put on my "funeral suit" and my 249 Sqn tie to show a bit of solidarity between 2 sqns which fought in the BofB.
